About the Journal
SYSTEMIA: Journal of Law, Technology and Systemic Governance is an international scholarly journal focused on the study of law, technology, and systemic governance in addressing the complexity of social, economic, and institutional change in the digital era. The journal is developed as an academic space for research that views law not only as a set of norms, but also as part of a system that interacts with technology, institutions, society, and power.
The name SYSTEMIA reflects a systemic approach to understanding contemporary legal issues. This approach encourages legal research to move beyond purely doctrinal analysis by examining how legal norms are formed, implemented, and interact with technological systems, and the consequences they generate for individuals, society, and institutions.
The journal accepts research articles, conceptual studies, and critical analyses related to law and technology, digital governance, artificial intelligence and law, cybersecurity law, data governance, digital economy, legal institutions, regulatory innovation, human rights in the digital age, and developments in law and policy in response to technological transformation. SYSTEMIA also welcomes interdisciplinary research integrating legal perspectives with political science, economics, information technology, philosophy, sociology, and other social science fields.
