Plagiarism Policy

Systemia: Journal of Law, Technology and Governance is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published manuscripts. Plagiarism, including the unauthorized use of another person’s ideas, words, data, or intellectual contributions without appropriate acknowledgment, is strictly prohibited.

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection software during the initial editorial assessment and throughout the publication process. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, properly cited, and do not contain plagiarized material, including self-plagiarism and duplicate publication.

Where plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified, the journal may take appropriate action in accordance with the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Such actions may include requesting clarification, rejecting the manuscript, retracting a published article, notifying the author’s affiliated institution, or taking other measures considered necessary.

Authors must ensure that all sources are accurately acknowledged and that any use of previously published material complies with applicable copyright and academic standards. Submission of a manuscript to SYSTEMIA constitutes the authors’ affirmation that the work is original and has not been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
